Metocean Services International, a company for the global provision of metocean services, was launched at the beginning of September 2003. The company has a management team with over 40 years experience in the offshore oil and gas industry.

With access to the latest equipment, MSI provides the entire range of oceanographic and meteorological services to the offshore oil & gas market, coastal engineers, dredging companies, port authorities etc <view clients>. These include, inter alia, physical measurement services, desktop studies, data processing / reporting and weather forecasting.

Project Management

Full Project Management of all aspects of metocean projects internationally.

Oceanographic Data Collection

Collection of current, wave and tidal data, along with the collection of water and sediment samples for analysis. This includes in-situ and real-time measurement systems.

Meteorological Data Collection

Collection of the full complement of meteorological parameters, both onshore and offshore, for operational and design purposes.

Data Processing & Analysis

Data quality control, processing, analysis and reporting using Matlab-based suite of software, presenting results in any client determined format.

Desktop Studies

Review of existing data in the form of a desktop study can provide a cost effective alternative or precursor to a physical measurement program.

Software and Database Development and Hosting

MSI Matlab-based software suite (including both acquisition and processing components) is continually being developed in order to meet the changing needs of our clients. The database capability facilitates the storage of clients’ metocean data in a format that is easy to understand and manipulate.

Weather Forecasting

Provision of accurate weather forecasts globally in support of offshore operations. Variables forecast typically include wind (speed and direction), air temperature, barometric pressure and waves (height, period and direction
