The
following is a summary of the loggers that are available from RBR
Ltd. Full details of the extensive range are available at www.rbr-global.com
or by clicking on the hyperlinked model number.
The TR-1050 is a small (230mm
x 38mm OD), self-contained, submersible
temperature recorder with a calibration to ±0.002ºC.
Typical calibration drift of 0.002ºC per year has been measured.
It can be deployed for a period of up to three years and can collect more
than 2,400,000 samples. Data are retained in
memory for 20 years (even without batteries).
The TR-1050 has a measurement range
of -5ºC to +35ºC in its standard calibration.
It can, however, be configured to measure wider
ranges. The logger can be fitted with different thermistors to operate to
as low as -40ºC or up
to +50ºC The TR-1050 may
also be configured to measure a far higher range, if it is fitted with an
external probe. We have supplied an instruments
to measure up to +300ºC. The logger temperature then simply needs
to remain under +50ºC.
The DR-1050 is a small
(38mm diameter, 220mm long), self-contained, submersible depth or
pressure recorder. Pressure measurements are made to 24-bit resolution.
The DR-1050 is calibrated to an accuracy of ±0.05 % full scale using NIST
traceable standards.
Each unit employs an absolute
pressure gauge, with ranges selectable from 10
dBars (10 metres of water) to 6.600
dBar making the unit suitable for a wide range of applications from
borehole testing and groundwater monitoring to deep ocean. For groundwater
measurement, a barometric reference may be used to record the atmospheric
pressure over the local area. An optional underwater serial output permits
triggering of sampling apparatus at preset depths.
The
DO-1050 is a small, self-contained, submersible dissolved oxygen recorder.
The DO-1050 is calibrated to an accuracy of ±1% O2
saturation, and can be easily recalibrated by the end-user. Each recorder
employs an Oxyguard
dissolved oxygen sensor (522M18), making it an ideal instrument for
marine, freshwater, and aquaculture applications.
There
are two external casings for the DO-1050: plastic and titanium. Both
models are compact, measuring 230mm in length and have an outer diameter
of 40mm. The plastic logger weighs 310g and the titanium 500g. The depth
ratings for the different casings are: 740m (plastic); 2,000m (titanium;
limited by dissolved oxygen sensor).
Model TDR-2050
Submersible Temperature & Depth Recorder
The TDR-2050 is a
small (235mm x 38mm
OD), self-contained, submersible temperature and depth recorder
. It can be deployed for a period of up to three years and can collect
more than 1,200,000 sets of samples. Data can be retained in memory for 20
years (even without batteries).
TDR-2050
clock accuracy of ±32 seconds per year.
Three
year deployment on one set of batteries
2,400,000
readings on one set of batteries
The
TDR-2050 is available in two casings, plastic and titanium. The depth
rating of the plastic case is 740m, the titanium 6,600m
(limited by the pressure transducer). The temperature channel of the
TDR-2050 is calibrated to an accuracy of ± 0.002°C (ITS-90)
over the range -5 to +35°C. Extended
range calibrations are available. Typical drift
has been measured to be 0.002°C/year. The
thermistor may be external (<3sec time constant) or internal (<20sec
time constant). A fast thermistor probe (0.095sec)
is also available. The depth channel is calibrated to an accuracy of
0.05%fs Ranges from 10m to 6,600m are available.
Dual Channel: Temperature and Dissolved
Oxygen (TDO-2050)
Model TDO-2050
Submersible Temperature and Dissolved Oxygen Recorder
The
TDO-2050 is a self-contained, submersible logger, designed to measure
temperature and dissolved oxygen. It is very accurate and small (265mm x
38mm OD). The TDO-2050 can be mounted on the sea or harbour floor,
fastened to an existing structure, attached to a mooring line, or used for
profiling. It may also be used for freshwater and aquaculture
applications.
The TDO-2050 is available in two casings, plastic and titanium. The depth
rating of the plastic case is 740m, the titanium 2,000m (limited by the
dissolved oxygen sensor). The temperature channel of the TDO-2050 is
calibrated to an accuracy of ± 0.002°C (ITS-90). Based on long-term
tests the drift has been measured at better than 0.002°C/year. The
standard thermistor has a time constant of <3 seconds; a fast
thermistor probe is also available (0.095 sec). The dissolved oxygen
channel is calibrated to an accuracy of 1% O2
Saturation. Calibration constants are stored in the logger and
recalibration is easily carried out by the end-user.
