MSI Completes Long Term Metocean Measurements Offshore Congo for Total E&P Congo

MSI is pleased to announce that it has successfully completed a 12 month metocean measurement project for Total E&P Congo (Total) in the Moho-Nord Field offshore Congo, in approximately 820m water depth.

The objective of the programme was to provide Total E&P Congo with a reliable metocean data base so as to facilitate safe marine operations at and near the site. Additionally, the measurements will provide the basis for derivation of accurate and consistent metocean design criteria for extreme and fatigue studies which will be carried out during Total E&P Congo’s future engineering development.

The measurement system consisted of a single mooring fitted with a combination of TRDI ADCP, Nortek Aquadopp current meter and RBR CTD loggers. CTD profiles were also taken during each of the mobilisation, 3 service visits and demobilisation.

All operations were completed with zero HSE incidents.
